Healthy Living Tips
Small, consistent habits add up to a healthier life.
Move every day
Aim for 30 minutes of moderate activity most days — brisk walking counts. Sitting all day raises the risk of heart disease, even if you exercise once a week.
Sleep 7–9 hours
Keep a consistent sleep schedule, avoid screens for 30 minutes before bed, and keep the bedroom cool and dark. Quality sleep boosts immunity, memory and mood.
Eat the rainbow
Half your plate should be fruits and vegetables. Different colours provide different antioxidants and fibre.
Hydrate
Drink water through the day. Pale yellow urine usually means you're well hydrated.
Limit ultra-processed food
Cut back on sugary drinks, packaged snacks and fried foods. Cook at home when you can.
Mind your mind
Practice 10 minutes of mindful breathing, journalling or a hobby every day. Mental health is health.
Connect with people
Strong relationships are one of the biggest predictors of long, healthy life. Call a friend today.
Avoid tobacco; limit alcohol
There is no safe amount of tobacco. Keep alcohol modest — ideally no more than one drink a day, and several alcohol-free days a week.
